Armoured Land Rover Defender 110 Vixen Plus
The protected Vixen+ is based on the Land Rover 110 chassis and features an upgraded 2.8Ltr 300 TDI engine with an Automatic gear box. The 2 Crew and 4 passengers benefit from an internal air conditioning system, heavy duty axles, upgraded braking and modified suspension.
Remanufactured by Ricardo Engineering, the Vixen+ is suitable for operation in a variety of conditions, and designed to be used within an urban environment.
These vehicles were fully refurbished and upgraded from 2005 onwards and were brought up to a higher standard of protection and mobility than the previous models.
The vehicles were re-chassised by Otokar at this time & a new heavy-duty chassis fitted, along with new upgraded engine, gearbox & axles. They were in effect remanufactured to better than new standards at this time.
